About Us
Shooters Japan is a group of DOPs founded in 2019 by Jiro Akiba, BBC's only Japan-based contract cameraman. We have experience in filming high quality documentaries for Discovery Channel and National Geographic, international news and current affairs for CNN and BBC, and corporate videos for a multitude of international brands.
WHAT WE DO
Shooters Japan delivers filming, production and video editing to high quality international styles and standards. Our bilingual DOPs have many years of experience in filming documentaries, current affairs, and corporate videos for foreign media and clients, and are also experienced at post production and video editing.

Nominated for the Emmy Award in 2010, 2013 and 2014 for BBC and CBS programs.
Gold prize at the 2015 World Media Festival in Germany for “The Beach” National Geographic Channel.
